Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra

Last week, we had the opportunity to go on a field trip to the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra at Centennial Concert Hall! The orchestra was able to take us on a "trip around the world" by playing such beautiful music, we could imagine we were really at all of the different locations! We listened to many different types of music and watched various dances from all around the world! Here were our favourite parts of the field trip - in our own words:

I liked when the girl dancer was up high on the rope. - Averi

I liked seeing the Russian dancers! -Evan

The Russian dancers were dancing really fast. - Dawson

I liked seeing the cowboys and cowgirls having a rodeo in the Wild West! "Yee-Haw!" - Hannah

I liked when the host pretended to be a train conductor and blew on his train whistle. -Adam

I loved the hoop dancer! He started with an "S" shape and then did tricks with the hoops. My mom lets me practice in the basement. -Seneca

My favourite part was when the man played the fiddle. -Mikey

I liked when the dancers did the splits! - Lily

My favourite part was during the storm when the lights in the theatre were flashing! - Cayla

I remembered hearing the sad dream song in music class. -Lucas

I loved the Flaminco dancers. - Ashley

Manny Tuba and Mr. Mark were super funny hosts! - Connor
